Situated on 2.2 acres of beautiful tall trees, Tall Tree Standing is an ideal vacation stay for those seeking fun, adventure and relaxation.

Perris creek runs through our property which backs onto crownland, featuring numerous trails to explore. The trails also connect to the Blind Bay-White Lake recreational trail system; part of Balmoral Trails.

Take a short walk across Eagle Bay Road and head down a short trail to our private beach. Hang out on the deck or large dock, and later enjoy an evening fire. A private buoy is available for you to moor your boat or watercraft.

THE LAKE HOUSE

Experience the beauty and serenity found at Tall Tree Standing in our semi-waterfront lake house, located in Blind Bay on Shuswap Lake.

Our fully renovated and updated lake house offers a warm, farmhouse feel featuring two bedrooms, a large bathroom and an open kitchen-living room space with gas fireplace. Enjoy the fresh air on the large decks. The sundeck sports a hot tub and plenty of room to bask in the sun, while the other deck takes advantage of the cedar trees to provide shade to a large patio table for those hot, sunny days. On cool evenings, take advantage of the comfort and warmth from the large fire pit.       

CABIN IN THE WOODS

Retreat at our private cabin near the creek surrounded by a cedar forest. Sit on the front porch and listen to the sounds of a creek running past or take a walk in the forest on the nearby trails.

This custom built cabin offers peace and tranquility. The wrap around deck provides comfort in the outdoors with a view of the lake. Step inside and feel the rustic, warmth of the interior, with cedar plank walls, custom barn wood trim and kitchen cabinets. Vaulted ceilings with fir rafters and a loft for extra sleeping space. The bathroom is a private oasis with a custom vintage bathtub that sits in front of a large picture window looking out to the forest.

Upon Arrival: Call to let us know when you will arrive. We will meet you in the parking lot in front of the Lake House & show you to your accommodation.

What's included?

Fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs including toaster, microwave, coffee maker, dish soap, cleaning supplies.

Eating on your deck The Lake House has a large patio table and 6 chairs with a gas BBQ on the second deck. The Cabin has a patio table & chairs for 4 and a gas BBQ.

Lake House Only has an eight person hot tub. Please do not smoke or eat in hot tub. Use the plastic glasses for drinks.

Wifi & Cable TV included. $60 charge for any lost or damaged remotes.

Linens provided include: 4 sets of shower, hand & face towels, 4 beach towels, duvets, sheets & pillows for 2 queen beds (one queen & one double in cabin). Washer & dryer with laundry soap in bathroom.

Parking: 2 spots provided for our guests. Let us know if more are required so we can direct you to the local parking lot.

Septic: We have a sensitive septic system, ONLY toilet paper can go into toilet. All diapers, feminine hygiene products and other personal products must disposed of in garbage.

What to bring: Games & beach toys, lawn chairs, personal toiletries, Life jackets, laundry soap, sunscreen, your smiles.

Our policies

Damage deposit: A credit card pre-authorization of $500 will be held for a damage deposit. This will removed once the unit has been inspected after check out. To make sure the unit has no damage or any items are lost or broken, other than normal wear and tear.

Cancellations: A 30 day notice is required for a full refund of deposit. No refunds are made to guests leaving early.

Good Neighbour Policy: Please respect neighbourhood with regards to noise level. Noise should be at a minimum after 10 pm. Loud music and disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.

Young children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. AT THE LAKE Please bring PDF’s for young children. There are no lifeguards on duty – swimming and use of the dock is at guests own risk. CROSSING EAGLE BAY ROAD The road can be busy, so please use caution while crossing to the beach with all children & have pets on a leash. PERRIS CREEK runs through the property & can flow quickly. KOI FISH POND please keep children & pets out of the pond. PLEASE NOTE: The pond is 5 ‘ deep. 

Beach There is a private dock, picnic table & fire pit on the beach. Please do not moor your boats to the dock, use your designated guest buoy.

Smoking No smoking indoors. Smoking ONLY permitted; on the hot tub deck at the Lake House, the outdoor deck at the Cabin, on the beach & at the fire pits. Please do not throw your butts on the ground or in the garden.

Fires are only permitted in our fire pits: one located by the lake house & one located on the beach. Please be sure to comply with our local fire bans and restrictions.

Pets are not permitted unless prior approval has been given. There is a $75 charge per stay for pets staying on property. Pets are required to be reasonably quiet & sociable as there are other animals living on the property. Please leash your dogs while on the property outside of your deck. Dogs are allowed to run loose on the beach and the back trails. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone in unit unless kenneled, as this can cause stress for the animal and lead to possible damage to unit.

About Cheryl & Rich

In March 2021 Cheryl & Rich moved from their Jasper Home of 30 years to Blind Bay, BC. They are so exited to live on this property amidst a cedar forest next to Shuswap Lake and to share it with their guests.

Close access to water activities, fishing, hiking & biking trails, tennis, snow sledding, nordic & downhill skiing, ice fishing & snowshoeing make this area a year round outdoor paradise!
